What Is Invisalign?

What to Expect From the Invisalign Placement Process
Consultation
By examining your teeth and taking x-rays, Dr. Mike Tran will determine whether you are a good candidate for Invisalign and assess the severity of your orthodontic issue.
Impressions
A technician at the Invisalign lab fabricates your custom aligners using physical impressions and digital scans of your teeth.
Aligner Fabrication
You will also be able to see how your teeth will move using special software, using your digital scans to digitally plan your tooth movements and the physical molds to create your aligners.
Aligner Pick-Up
The aligners will be ready in a few weeks. When you arrive, Dr. Mike Tran will check that they fit correctly, and if they do, you can go home with a few sets. If not, we will adjust them.
Routine Follow-Ups
During these appointments, you will receive additional aligners to ensure your teeth are moving properly according to your treatment plan.
Retention
In order to prevent your teeth from shifting back, you will need to wear a retainer after your treatment.
